On Sunday, October 4th, 2009 the Central Nebraska Auto Club had our 4th Annual Indoor Car Show at the Buffalo County Fair Grounds in Kearney, NE.

Our last fling before the snow flew..............

The day started at 6AM for a few of us to start setting up for the car show.  Before we knew it there were cars at the door ready to come in and register.  We registered approximately 80 cars and 1 motorcycle, with at least 90% of them being registered before 9 AM.  We presented a plaque to each of the top twenty, and 15 specialty trophies for:  Best Ford, Best GM, Best Mopar, Best Orpan, Best Engine, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Motorcycle, Best Host Car, Club Committee Choice, Peoples Choice and Best of Show,  The Alex Edwards Family--American Cancer Trophy, Kids Choice, and the Law Enforcement Trophy.  All the entries were top notch vehicles and boy did they shine. We had some nice door prizes donated by merchants in the area.  Everyone who entered a vehicle received a door prize.

We joined up with the American Cancer Society to Honor  6 year old Alex Edwards who lost his battle with Cancer last July.  There were luminary paper bags decorated by Alex's classmates located in front of each vehicle and you could vote for your favorite car by donating money into the bags. The American Cancer Society received approximately $800.00 in the bags.

We would like to extend an invitation to all who entered a vehicle and for those of you who would like to take part in our indoor car show next year to keep us in mind.  Keep checking our web site for more information on next years 5th Annual Indoor Car Show. We are looking forward to seeing you at Central Nebraska Auto Club Cruise Nite the 3rd weekend in July, 2010.

History

Welcome to the Central Nebraska Auto Club website. The Central Nebraska Auto Club was established in 1992 when two groups of area car enthusiastic got together and formed a club to help put on a big summer time event called Cruise Nite. Cruise Nite started with one of our members visiting another state in where they held a cruise event. He brought his idea back to the group he belonged to in 1987. Thus, Cruise Nite was started in Kearney Nebraska.
